1/4/24 - ๐Ÿ“ข Updates: reply queue, user roles, and AI Magic!
Updated over a week ago

Hi everyone,
โ€‹

Happy New Year! As 2024 kicks off, we're excited to share some major Daisychain updates.
โ€‹

๐Ÿ’ฌ Reply Queue

After you send out a Daisychain Campaign, you might have hundreds or thousands of supporters text back with questions and other kinds of replies. The new Reply Queue makes it much easier for multiple texters to manage these replies in an organized system and easily track progress. By distributing batches of conversations to a team the Reply Queue helps make sure every supporter question gets answered and every piece of data gets recorded. Learn more about the reply queue in our Help Center.

๐Ÿ” Roles/Permissions

By popular demand, there are now three roles available for Daisychain users: Admin, Manager, and User. Before now, all Daisychain Users were โ€œAdminsโ€ who had access to everything in Daisychain: all data, all features, the whole shebang. Now, you can assign specific roles to your team members, boosting security by granting them access to only the features and data they need to see. Learn more about Roles and Permissions in our Users article in our Help Center.

๐Ÿค– AI Assistant for Automation Filters

Automations are powerful: you can set them up to send messages, make assignments, and more when someone takes action in an integrated tool. When you build a Daisychain Automation, you have two options:

  1. Trigger the automation every time someone takes action in an integrated tool โ€“ like every single ActBlue donor.
    โ€‹
    โ€‹

  2. Filter when the automation gets triggered based on certain criteria โ€“ like only ActBlue donors who give more than $500 and live in Ohio.

Building these filters has historically been tricky โ€“ you needed to use the JMESPath query language to code them.
โ€‹

With the new AI assistant, you can just write the filter you want in plain English, and the AI assistant will take care of the rest. Itโ€™s kind of magical โ€“ check out this video to see it in action, read more in our Help Center, and stay tuned for more AI-powered features in Daisychain in the weeks and months ahead.

๐Ÿ“ฅ Inbox Upgrade: Timestamps and Campaign Names

Daisychain is built to let you have ongoing conversations with your supporters over a long period of time โ€“ and this means that you can scroll back for weeks and months to see your complete conversation history. Until now, it was unclear which outgoing messages were sent as part of a large-scale Campaign (with lots of recipients) and which were sent individually. Additionally, it was sometimes tricky to know exactly when a given message was sent. With the latest upgrade, messages sent as part of a Campaign are clearly marked, and every message has a timestamp.

๐ŸŽ‰ Bonus: Free Messages for Charms A/B Test!

As a special bonus, we're offering a free batch of messages to any organization that runs an โ€œA/B Testโ€ of Charms, Daisychainโ€™s feature to text out personalized animated GIFs! We want to know: does a personalized Charm work better than a standard text message for fundraising? For event recruitment? For voter registration? If you want to help us test this out, let us know!

2024 is going to be a big year, and weโ€™re excited to work with all of you to make Daisychain as useful as possible in the weeks and months ahead.
โ€‹

Onwards,
โ€‹

P.S. Daisychain is hiring! Check out our Jobs page โ€“ we currently have openings for an Operations Manager (more of a Jack/Jill-of-all-trades role) and a Software Engineer.
