This article shows the difference between "Textable," "Opted In," and "Opted Out"
Daisychain aims to help your organization abide by best practices and rules and regulations for opted in texting. To help facilitate this, we offer several different types of subscription statuses for the numbers in your Daisychain account.
Textable numbers are numbers which have been identified as mobile numbers which have not been opted out. You may text these numbers via 10DLC and Toll-Free numbers.
Opted in numbers are numbers for which you have collected affirmative opt-in consent to text. This is a requirement for certain types of texting, such as from shortcodes. When you opt a person in, all numbers associated with that person are marked as opted-in.
If a person is opted-in but their number is deemed “not textable” (that is, the number is a landline), this person will still not be able to receive messages from you.
Opted out numbers cannot be texted. If you opt out a number listed under one person, that number’s opt out status will persist across people records (so if you add an opted out number to another person, that number will still be opted out).
